What this website collects
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and it does not load fonts or scripts from other companies.
Like all websites, it runs on a web server. Our hosting provider, IONOS, keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, the pages you request and the time of the request, to keep the service running and secure. IONOS keeps this log data for a maximum of eight weeks.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. It also stores nothing else on your device, such as local storage or tracking pixels, and reads nothing from it. That is why you do not see a cookie banner: there is nothing to ask your consent for.
If we ever add a feature that uses cookies, such as visitor statistics or an embedded video, we will update this section first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting any.
Information you give us
- When you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- When you book a conversation, we receive the details you enter in our booking page, such as your name, email address, organisation and preferred time.
- When you register interest in our field guide, we receive the details you enter in the form, such as your name, email address, organisation and role.
We use Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Bookings and Forms) to receive and store this information. Microsoft acts as our processor.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you and arrange any conversation you ask for. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- To send you the field guide when it is published, if you registered interest. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
- To send you occasional updates from ETC, only if you ticked the separate box asking for them. Lawful basis: your consent. Every update includes a way to unsubscribe.
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We share it only with our processors (Microsoft and IONOS) and, where an engagement goes ahead, between Found:Re Limited and Anvower Advisory Limited to deliver it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us:
- Enquiries and booking requests that do not lead to work: deleted 12 months after our last contact with you.
- Field guide registrations: deleted three months after we send you the field guide, unless you also asked for updates.
- Requests for updates: kept until you unsubscribe. Every two years we will ask whether you still want them, and delete your details if you do not reply.
- Enquiries that lead to work become part of our client records, which we keep for six years after the work ends to meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
- Server logs are kept by IONOS for a maximum of eight weeks.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email us using the address above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
